Catching Up

Phew, February was rough and as a result ole’ Coloredcomics.com got a lil’ neglected. Now I can’t hop in a time machine and go back a week to bring you all of February’s Coloredcomics on time–but through the power of the internet and retro dating post I can bring you a Toadyhog comic and TWO Random Acts comics! Enjoy.

It’s Called Random Acts But…

…it’s still supposed to updated with some regularity.

So the month of February’s been brutal for me; every week this month has seen a late update. I’ve been ignoring it all month, hoping to break out of the slump the following week, but with no avail. So after still managing at least an update for 3 weeks, the last week in February has seen no update, thus far. Now as of this post I still have no quality ideas for a Super Senior update, but look for back dated updates on Toadyhog and Random Acts this weekend.

To give you the why, of what’s been going on-its part needed to recharge my creative batteries (or as Remy on True Blood says/said battrees–(yeah I watch True Blood, but never seen a Full Moon or whatever those movies are called)) and part laziness. What? Laziness can’t be a valid reason? What if I told you it was 70% recharging my creative batteries, 30% laziness? It doesn’t seem so bad when I put it like that, does it? Oh well, sorry for procrastinating. New month and renewed purpose! I haven’t said it in a while, but THANKS for reading! And remember, read more comics!

New “Random” update Schedule

Effective immediately, with new updates starting again Friday, February 5th.

So I am always evaluating and self critiquing my work, and in doing so I came to the determination Random Acts of Boredom will be better served if updated once a week. It will allow for me to maintain Coloredcomics.com as being updated 5x a week, but more importantly it will allow me to better assure quality of art and writing–because sometimes with these self imposed deadlines I feel an obligation to get the website updated, and that’s not always the best thing. So in an objective to assure quality Random Acts will only update once a week, effective immediately and starting next week new updates.

A comic I liked writing wise, but felt the art was lacking, so now it exist solely in this blog post now.

Top Random Acts of 2009

So Random Acts was just recently added to the Colored Comics line up, so there hasn’t been much to choose from in selecting the top 5 of the year. But of the best, here are the tops…

5. Lunchtime, Admittedly Ted the Office Zombie started off as a visual gag without much story behind the character. And though that’s still true today, this is my favorite Ted the Office Zombie comic to date.

4. The Distinguished Thug

3. Life on Lockdown

2. Milkyway, I pulled a muscle patting myself on the back on the originality of this comic.

1. Racial Profiling, Alien Bob is the face to Random Acts (see homepage) and it’s only appropriate that two of his comics make the top five of the year. It took a lot to draw the Predator, but the final product made it so worth the time.

Happy New Year, see you in 2010!

Tiger Woods Scandalous!

Photobucket

So Tiger Woods cheated on his wife, multiple times. And what championship athlete hasn’t?! MJ, Kobe, Shaq—wait what about Magic ARod? You see a trend here? Athletic, rich, and everyone telling you how great you are, you mean you’re not surprised by the infidelity of these men. Now what gets me is why is it no one ever looks sideways at these women that are knowingly pursuing married men?!? And then they still dime these dudes out at a moments notice (tabloid offers money, or they wanna write a tell-all book), faking like they never got paid to keep there mouths shut to begin with!

Now I have this theory, if you’re a young, rich and male, you should aspire to be like Derek Jeter, or Lebron James or Justin Timberlake or John Mayer…stay single and mingle! No obligations, No money down!

Now to avoid putting my foot any further in my mouth I will now step away from the soapbox.

blogger

So before I redesigned Coloredcomics.com, I did blog post on an off site, colored commentary through blogspot. I still do.

New Schedule starting in November!

Photobucket

Starting in November, RAOB will update twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays!

More Funny for your…click thru?

So starting in November you can check for Random Acts, twice weekly. I haven’t settled on a schedule yet, but it’s coming baby. It’s coming like a runaway train, like a NBA All-Star game fast break, like a hurricane baby! Oh yeah. It’s coming.

Randomness Prevails

So it’s been a few weeks since your dose of a new RAOB, but creativity prevailed and we have another Ted the Office Zombie comic! Enjoy.

It’s all in the Title

inks So it’s called Random Acts of Boredom for a reason. The ideas are pretty random. But then again aren’t most ideas. But no comic this week. Hopefully you’ll see a double update next Wednesday and back on schedule on the 19th. But in the interim, enjoy my comic scribblings to the left. Yes. To the left, to the left. I posted a picture to the left. (date pop culture reference anyone?)

In other news, Super Senior and Toadyhog have been updated on time, so feel free to jump to the their links on the bottom right of the page!
